I purchased this fan for my mother's beedroom. The central air is too chilly for her. This fan provides refreshing cool air. Fully assembled it is ideal for tabletop or floor use. There are two speeds,both providing a gentle breeze. Even at the top speed, you do not have to worry about papers blowing around. It is relatively quiet, with the only sound being a light hum. It is light, portable and adjustable.
If you are looking for a simple fan with no bells and whistles (like oscillation or remote control) for a small space, this fits the bill. I found it at a Rite Aid for under fifteen dollars.
