I had this heater for about 2 months and then one night it had a burning smell to it. I called the warranty number and they had me take the unit apart. 2 of the wires were burnt, so be careful about leaving this on all the time when you're not at home. Luckily- they said they would repair or replace the unit at no cost since it was within 90 days. If you do purchase this, make sure you keep the box and the receipt as you will need both for any warranty issues. During those 2 months it did work well and our electricity bill went up maybe $50/month.

I purchased this heater two years ago and am very happy with it's operation. I can set the thermostat and leave it and it is very accurate! I have read the reviews of some others who have tried to heat their entire house and did not like it. I have found it will only do this if the area is mostly open and there is max insulation in your home and not a lot of windows to allow heat to escape or let cold air in. With all products there will be some problems but between my family and I we own 4 of these units and we are all very satisfied.
