I recently purchased the duraflame heater.It is advertised to heat a room up to 1000sq.ft not so ..........Our room is less than 500 sq.ft and after having this heater turned on for 5 hours there was very little change in room temp.Our home is new construction with r-40 in walls, cieling and subfloor with dual pane windows.I would not recomend this product and I will be returning the unit.

I bought this great little heater for a bedroom without heat. It does the job beautifully. Today's temperature is 10 below, and the bedroom is warm and toasty. I like the digital read-out and the remote control, so I don't have to bend over and squint at the control panel. It looks like a piece of furniture and is cool to the touch. My electric bill has increased only a small amount since I started using this heater. I recommend it.
